ABOUT US
From my three decades of experience building intercultural and interreligious relationships, which began in Africa, Louisville, and now in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, I have found that the place of contact is crucial. The place of contact will determine whether or not your Muslim friend or any other faith person is open-minded. When you invite your Muslim or any other faith friend to a church for the food pantry, clothing, or English language learning and attempt to engage in interfaith conversation in that environment, they may perceive you are taking advantage of them in your safe zone. Likewise, when Christians visit a mosque, it is more difficult for them to engage in interfaith conversation with Muslims there. What the Lord revealed to me was to have a common place or third place, which missiologists found to be the best places of contact to share the gospel.
